1916 Documentary - James Connolly

As Easter is upon us, here is the brilliant Seachtar na Casca series, which aired on TG4 last year.

James Connolly was the leader of the Irish Citizens Army in 1916. A committed socialist, he was drafted onto the planning council for the 1916 Rising after the other members became convinced that Connolly was planning his own insurrection in Dublin. He was appointed Commandant General of the Irish Republican Army in Dublin during the Rising.
